How it works

Depth-first conversations, breadth-preserving graph

A chat with an AI coding agent follows one path. When you choose an option, the others are dropped from the conversation — but they are still in the session file.

jaala reads those files and keeps every branch point with all of its branches. Each option you didn't take becomes a node of its own that you can find, reopen and cite later.

Capture, then curate

1. Capture. Turns land in the graph as they are, losslessly.
2. Curate. Merge, split and move material into a clean structure. Nothing is deleted underneath: references and history survive every change.
3. Create (coming next). Ask questions grounded in your graph, and continue any thread with the right context.

Where the AI runs

jaala's AI features call your own Claude Code on your machine, using your own Anthropic plan. jaala does not send your graph to us or to anyone else.
